Welcome to the 2023 San Diego Stamp Show! It’s great to see old and new friends together again.
We have worked tirelessly to serve the philatelic community of Southern California and the Southwestern United States, and look forward to hosting the San Diego Stamp Show for years to come. We are aware of the formidable challenges we will have to overcome, and we are confident we will stay relevant in the ever changing philatelic world.
The American Philatelic Society has sent a representative to this show to demonstrate their commitment to us here in San Diego, and recognize contributions of local members.
We extend a warm welcome to the United States Postal Service. Not only are they providing an outlet for stamp sales, they have come through with the honor of a First Day of Issue ceremony for the new $10 Definitive stamp. This is the most recent of several FDOI ceremonies held here in San Diego. Please stop by their stand and say hello.
We welcome MEPSI [Mexico Elmhurst Philatelic Society International] here for their 2023 Annual meeting. They have a wide ranging set of activities planned throughout the weekend. Stop by the Society booths for 'meet and greets’!
We appreciate the support of America’s best local club - San Diego’s own Poway Stamp Club. They support us in many ways, some more visible than others. Say hello to Trice and Dave Klauber at the Poway Stamp Club table, recipients of 2022 American Philatelic Society Volunteer Recognition Awards.
We are fortunate in having enthusiastic volunteers who help make our show successful. Whether up front, or behind the scenes they all contribute to a successful, fulfilling weekend. Our dealers, exhibitors, jury and Hilton hotel staff all contribute in their own way.
Looking forward, we will be hosting The Collectors Club and the United States Classics Society at the San Diego Stamp Show in 2024. The United Postal Stationary Society is planning their 2026 meeting here.
